What our guides are, what they are not, and where responsibility sits when you buy something.
These terms apply to everyone who visits bezelledger.com. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site. They may be updated from time to time, and the version on this page is the one that applies.
Our guides explain how watches, bags and other luxury goods are made and how they behave over time. The purpose is to help you ask better questions and understand what you are paying for.
This is general information, not advice about your specific object or your specific purchase. We cannot appraise an item, we cannot authenticate it, and nothing on this site should be read as an offer, a valuation or a guarantee of condition, genuineness, value or fitness for any purpose.
We research guides carefully and cite what can be checked, but details change without notice: materials are revised, service intervals are updated, models are discontinued and resale prices move constantly. We cannot guarantee that every detail on this site remains current.
If you find an error, tell us and we will correct it. A correction is made in the guide itself, and where it changes the substance of what was written we say that the guide has been changed.
Prices mentioned in guides are illustrative. They are not quotations and should never be relied on as the price of anything, anywhere, at any time.
Bezel Ledger carries display advertising and some links to retailers are affiliate links. If you buy through one of those links, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links are disclosed in the guides that contain them.
Commercial arrangements do not decide content. We do not publish sponsored reviews, we do not accept payment for a favourable verdict, and where a category is not worth your money we say so whether or not there is anything to link to. Any purchase you make is between you and the seller; we are not part of that contract.
Deciding whether a specific object is genuine, what condition it is in, what it is worth and what it will cost to repair requires examining that object. A watchmaker, a leather restorer, an auction specialist or another qualified professional can do that. A guide explaining general principles cannot.
If a purchase depends on authenticity, obtain an inspection and written provenance before you pay. Nothing on this site replaces that.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of this site, including a purchase you regret, an item that fails, an object that turns out not to be genuine, or a service you were quoted more for than expected.
Returns, warranties, refunds and disputes are governed by the terms of the seller you bought from and by the consumer law that applies where you live.
